Healthy soils, plants, animals, and foods lead to healthy people. That's the philosophy behind Northeast Family Goat Farms, a small group of  local dairy-goat farmers who have adopted sustainable practices in everything they do. Their goats are raised on additive-free feed, and are never treated with hormones or steroids. Their milk is shipped directly to Middlefield Original Cheese Co-op for processing, where skilled Amish cheesemakers work in traditional open vats to handcraft a premium product, marked by a slightly tangy, deliciously distinctive flavor and aroma.
